Confucius Cup 2023 Table Tennis Tournament

Friday, 19th May 2023 to Sunday, 21st May 2023 – Main mixed open event, qualification events, doubles, ladies open, banded events and Open event without top 4 seeded players.

Events

  1. Satellite Open / Qualification to the main event: All players are welcome
  2. Ladies’ Singles: All female players are welcome
  3. Junior Mixed Open Event Under 13: 13 yrs or under are permitted to enter
  4. 19 yrs or under are permitted to enter: 19 yrs or under are permitted to enter
  5. Doubles Satellite / Qualification: All players are welcome
  6. Band 1.5: Advanced players should enter
  7. Band 3: Intermediate players should enter
  8. Band 4: Intermediate or Beginners
  9. Open Singles without Top 4 seeded players: All levels welcome except top 4 seeded players

Satellite Open / Qualification to the main event

The satellite tournament will have 12 players qualified to mixed open main draw on Sunday 21st May 2023. There will be cash prizes for winner and runner up for Saturday’s qualification event.

First place: €400 to 800 (depends on number of entries received) & Confucius Perpetual Trophy

Second place: €200 to €400

Semi Finalist: €100 to €150 each

Junior Mixed Open Event Under 13

The satellite doubles tournament will have 4 pairs qualified to main draw on Sunday 21st May 2023. There will be prizes for the first and second in the double satellite tournament on friday night 19th May 2023.

Tournament Regulations

  1. Late entries will go into the waiting list for the respective event or events.
  2. No refunds will be paid out after entries are entered into the draw format.
  3. All matches will be played according to the Rules and Regulations of I.T.T.F.
  4. Players will be scratched if not present and ready to play when called upon.
  5. The draw will be seeded in all main events. Byes may be allocated to the top seeds in their respective events.
  6. Matches will be “Best-of-5” (except Division Bs in various events or consolation category: “Best-of-3” unless time permits “best-of-5”). Best-of-7 for final match for Main Event on Sunday.
  7. The decision of the Referee will be final on points of law and in all cases of dispute. The decision of the Umpire will be final on points of fact.
